Sheffield United manager Jonathan Morgan is under investigation by the club after a formal complaint was made over his alleged conduct and behaviour.

Morgan has agreed to step down from his role in charge of the Women's Championship club while an independent investigation takes place.

Assistant Luke Turner has overseen United's past three fixtures in Morgan's absence.

Morgan joined United in February following a spell at Burnley.

Morgan's representatives and Sheffield United did not wish to comment when contacted by BBC Sport.

Morgan previously spent seven seasons in charge of Leicester City women and a year at Burnley before joining the Blades.

United are currently ninth in the Women's Championship.
