England goalkeeper Mary Earps has been voted the 2023 Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year.

The 30-year-old helped the Lionesses reach the World Cup final in August, keeping three clean sheets at the tournament to win the Golden Glove.

The Manchester United player was fifth on the Ballon d'Or list, the highest-ever ranking for a female goalkeeper.

Earps follows last year's winner, athlete Eilish McColgan, and tennis player Emma Raducanu, who won in 2021.

Two-time heptathlon world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson, seven-time Paralympic gold medallist Hannah Cockroft and England cricketer Tammy Beaumont were also nominated for the Sunday Times award.

Meanwhile, the Lionesses were voted Team of the Year for their maiden World Cup final appearance while Cockroft won the Disability Sportswoman of the Year award for the third time.

Teenage snowboarder Mia Brookes took the Young Sportswoman honour while Olympic cyclist Katie Archibald was awarded the Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration.
