Kilmarnock's artificial pitch to go and grass to return for 2025-26 season

Kilmarnock are aiming to revert to a grass pitch at Rugby Park for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Majority shareholder Billy Bowie hopes final planning approval for their Bowie Park training facility will be granted so work can begin in the spring.
Kilmarnock hope their women's team will be based there by the end of next year.
The centre will have two full-size pitches, a training complex and a 250-seat stand, and be the youth academy's home as well as Kilmarnock Women's.
Bowie says the opening of the new facility - located between Kilmarnock and Crookedholm - in the latter part of next year will lead to the artificial surface at Rugby Park being lifted and home matches being played on grass in the 2025-26 season.
Kilmarnock installed a new playing surface at Rugby Park in time for the 2019-20 season, having initially switched to artificial grass in the summer of 2014.
