Morecambe will approach replacing Derek Adams 'with open mind' says CEO

Morecambe chief executive Ben Sadler says the club's board will approach replacing manager Derek Adams "with an open mind".
Adams left on Monday to begin a third spell as boss at Scottish Premiership side Ross County.
The Scot had two spells with Morecambe, leading them to promotion to League One in his first stint, and leaves this time with them ninth in League Two.
"We're not shoehorning ourselves in a particular mould," Sadler said.
Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, he continued: "We have discussed it as a board as to the process we're going to go through, but in terms of the person who will ultimately take on the role, you've got to have a completely open mind, too.
"You've got to look at the strengths of the different applicants and the people that we may be looking at. You've got balance up so many factors around experience.
"But then there may be a young manager who is on an upward trajectory. We like to think that the team's young, energetic and on its way up and developing as the season goes on."
With the January transfer window fast approaching Sadler is aware there is a timescale when recruiting a new manager, to allow them to integrate within the club.
"Regardless of the time of year, for me, you'd look to bring the best person in and have that stability as quick as possible," Sadler added.
"I'd be lying if we weren't looking at January and knowing we do need to keep to a deadline to allow the new manager to assess the squad and make some tweaks and have the opportunity to do that in time for the start of the window."
