Raith Rovers threaten to ban fans who bring flares after one strikes other supporters

Raith Rovers have threatened to ban supporters who bring flares to their games after one struck a group of fans during Friday's Scottish Cup victory.
The Championship side recorded their biggest away win versus Fife rivals Dunfermline Athletic since 1938.
"Unfortunately, pyrotechnics were thrown on to the playing surface and within the stand on several occasions," Rovers state on their X account.
"The use of flares on Friday was a setback for us."
One struck a group of the Kirkcaldy club's own fans "fortunately causing no injuries but damaging their clothing".
"It not only spoils the matchday experience for some fans but it also exposes us to potential sanctions," Rovers add.
"Supporters are strongly advised not to bring pyrotechnics to Raith Rovers matches, both at home and away.
"Failure to comply with this request will result in supporters being banned from attending future matches."
New legislation making it a criminal offence to possess fireworks and flares at grounds came into force after May's Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Rangers was delayed because of smoke inside Hampden Park.
It has not prevented their increase use this season, leading to a Hampden meeting after which the Scottish FA and Scottish Professional Football League said they were encouraged by steps being taken to combat the issue.
Meanwhile, Rovers, who sit second in the second tier, were drawn away to Premiership strugglers Livingston in the fourth round of the cup on Sunday.
