Rangers winger Ross McCausland has signed a new deal keeping him at the club until summer 2027.

The Northern Ireland international, who earned his first cap in November, has made nine Rangers appearances, with six of them coming since Philippe Clement took charge last month.

The 20-year-old's previous deal was set to expire at the end of this season.

McCausland - a "massive Rangers supporter" - says there was "no doubt in my mind" over committing long term.

He added: "I'm extremely grateful to the new manager for giving me an opportunity in recent weeks, and I want to repay him and everyone at the club with my performances on the pitch in the years to come."

McCausland started his youth career at Linfield before making the move to Rangers' academy in 2019.

The dynamic wide man has gone on to make over 40 appearances for the Ibrox club's B team, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.

He is yet to score or assist for the senior side but has been a bright spark in Clement's attack when called upon this term.

Manager Clement said: "I am really pleased with the progress Ross has made in recent weeks and he is deserving of this new contract.

"Ross is a talented young player and I think it is an important step from the club to move to secure his future here."
