Coventry City: John Taylor appointed as chief operating officer

John Taylor has been appointed as Coventry City's chief operating officer, to succeed outgoing chief executive Dave Boddy.
Taylor left boyhood club Nottingham Forest in September after six years at the club, first as head of finance, then chief operating officer.
The former accountant will take over the day-to-day running when Boddy leaves Coventry in January.
He will report in his new role to executive chairman and owner Doug King.
"John's first-hand experience in the key role at another successful football club will ensure a seamless handover from Dave Boddy, departing his role as chief executive at the Sky Blues, and provide valuable insight and knowledge for Coventry City on the journey to the Premier League," a Coventry statement said.
City are 17th in the Championship, eight points shy of the play-off places.
