Accrington Stanley have signed goalkeeper Joe Walsh from Championship side Queens Park Rangers on an emergency seven-day loan.

The 21-year-old came through Gillingham's academy and played eight matches for the Gills.

He went on to join QPR in January 2021 and has since made one first-team appearance for the club.

"If you haven't played a game in a while, when you get an opportunity like this, you have to take it," Walsh said.

"Life changes so quickly. You can't plan week to week, you have to go day to day.

"I am excited just to have this opportunity. I am so grateful to get games and experience, push myself, and mentally go in strong and play some games in League Two."

Accrington lost goalkeeper Toby Savin to injury in September while on-loan Norwich stopper Jon McCracken came off hurt in their most recent game, a 4-3 home defeat by Swindon.
