Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has been given a one-game touchline ban and a £2,500 fine for misconduct following their 2-0 defeat by QPR on 9 December.
Rosenior admitted using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official after the final whistle.
He will now be absent from the sidelines for Hull's Championship fixture away at Bristol City on Friday.
Rosenior signed a new contract with the club on Sunday, with his side sixth in the table after 22 games.
