Shaun Harvey has joined the Wrexham board after being appointed as a director.
The 53-year-old former Football League chief executive had already been acting as an advisor to owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney since February 2021.
Harvey joins co-chairmen Reynolds and McElhenney and executive director Humphrey Ker on the Wrexham board.
"Shaun has been at the heart of everything the club has achieved since the takeover," Ker said.
"His elevation to the board is both a recognition of his contributions and a formalisation of the role he has fulfilled for the last few years."
Harvey has previously been Leeds United chief executive and Bradford City managing director, overseeing both clubs entering administration during his time with them.
Under Football League rules, any individual who has been involved in two different clubs going into administration would normally be unable to be appointed to any further football club boards.
But Bradford's administration was in 2002, two years before the directorship rules came into force in June 2004.
