Wayne Carlisle, who had a spell as interim boss after the departure of Matt Taylor, has left Rotherham United following the arrival of Leam Richardson as head coach.

Carlisle joined on Taylor's staff in October 2022 and helped keep the Millers in the Championship last term.

He drew two and lost two of his four games in interim charge this season.

Rotherham have thanked Carlisle for his "unwavering commitment and professionalism", external during his tenure.

Carlisle had spells at Crystal Palace, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient, Exeter and Torquay during his playing career, and also worked in coaching with Taylor at former club Exeter.

First-team coach Dan Green and goalkeeping coach Scott Brown will remain with Rotherham as part of Richardson's newly created staff.
