Stevenage's League One match against Cambridge was postponed after a floodlight failure at the Lamex Stadium.

The 19:45 GMT kick-off was initially delayed, with Stevenage saying an engineer was on their way to fix the lights.

But half an hour after the match was scheduled to start, the club issued a statement saying the game had been called off "due to circumstances outside of our control".

No new date has yet been announced for the match.

Stevenage are next in action on Monday, 1 January at Portsmouth, while Cambridge are scheduled to host Leyton Orient on the same day.
