Rangers: Kemar Roofe injury feels 'like sky drops on your head' - Philippe Clement

Manager Philippe Clement says Kemar Roofe's latest injury was "a big blow" that will have felt like the sky dropping on the Rangers striker's head.
Clement says the biggest disappointment will be felt by the 30-year-old himself but admits it could affect the Ibrox club's January transfer business.
He was asked whether the injury makes a new striker more of a priority.
"We will first see what is the situation with Kemar and how long he will be out," Clement replied.
"I have had moments like that in my career, so at that moment, you feel like the sky drops on your head."
On Wednesday against St Johnstone, Roofe was forced off 16 minutes into his first start since returning from his latest, two-month spell on the sidelines after making four substitute appearances this month.
Roofe has played only 22 times since picking up a knee injury in April 2022 and Clement said "it's difficult at the moment" to say how long the forward and midfielder John Lundstram, who was also injured against Saints, will be sidelined.
"You need to make a good analysis with scans and getting results," he said.
Of Roofe, Clement added: "He is so hungry, he did everything, he was coming in, getting his minutes, did a good job, trained well, got his moment to start, what he was waiting for.
"He felt really good. We are now assessing what can be the reason and to look very much into detail and find solutions for him."
St Johnstone midfielder Diallang Jaiyesimi was sent off for the tackle that injured Lundstram's ankle, but Clement was still just as concerned about a challenge on another Rangers midfielder, Kieran Dowell, by Dan Phillips that he would not find acceptable by his own players.
"If I see a tackle like that from my team, that player is in trouble also," the Belgian added. "I don't want to see those tackles."
