Stoke City have signed goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on loan from Championship rivals Leicester City for the remainder of the season.

The 26-year-old Dane has failed to make an appearance for the Championship leaders this season.

He made 12 Premier League appearances for Leicester last season - a campaign that ended in relegation.

"We believe he is a high-quality addition," said Stoke technical director Ricky Martin.

"When we learned of Daniel's availability, we were quick to act."

Iversen is Stoke's first signing since the appointment of Steven Schumacher last month.

Stoke's goalkeeping ranks were hit when loanee Mark Travers was recalled by parent club Bournemouth in October.

Jack Bonham, who signed a new one-year deal in November, has stood up as their first-choice since.

While Iversen has found Leicester opportunities limited since joining them in 2016, he has had a number of loan spells across the three English Football League divisions - including two stints in the Championship with Preston.
