Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell says losing Callum Slattery will be a "massive blow" after he was ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old midfielder had missed just one game all season for the Steelmen but picked up a serious knee injury during training last week.
"Losing him is a massive blow for the team and the nature he has picked up this injury only makes the situation worse for the player," Kettlewell told the club's website, external.
"We've not had our problems to seek with regards to injuries this season and this is another hurdle we have to deal with."
Former England youth international Slattery joined Motherwell from Southampton in 2021.
