Leyton Orient head coach Richie Wellens has been charged by the Football Association after he was sent off in the win over Bolton at Brisbane Road.

The 43-year-old was dismissed by referee Alex Chilowicz in the 81st minute after he stopped a Bolton player from taking a quick throw-in.

He's also alleged to have directly watched the rest of the match, rather than returning to the locker room.

Bolton assistant manager Pete Atherton was also shown a yellow card.

Wellens has until Friday to appeal the charge.

Saturday's 1-0 League One victory, courtesy of a Dan Agyei winner, was the O's third win in a row and leaves them in 10th place on 38 points.

Bolton sit third on 54, one point off an automatic promotion place and two points behind league leaders Portsmouth.
