Josh Ruffels: Huddersfield Town defender ruled out for season with groin and hernia issues

Huddersfield Town defender Josh Ruffels has been ruled out for the rest of the season with groin and hernia issues.

The 30-year-old has not featured for the Terriers since coming on as a late substitute in a goalless home draw with Watford on 4 November.

Ruffels has made 52 league appearances for the Championship side since joining from Oxford in July 2021.

"It's a huge shame to lose Josh for the season," Town sporting director Mark Cartwright told the club website.
