Ross Embleton: Colchester United head of recruitment leaves League Two club
- Published
Former Leyton Orient head coach Ross Embleton has left his role as head of recruitment at Colchester United.
The 42-year-old joined the U's in the summer of 2022 and had a one-game spell as interim boss when Matt Bloomfield left for Wycombe in February last year.
Embleton had four spells in charge at Orient, but was only permanent boss for the last one in 2020-21.
"It's really disappointing, I've really enjoyed working with Ross," said U's sporting director Dmitri Halajko.
"He's added a lot to the football club, the recruitment he's put in has been second to none - he's worked with four different managers, which isn't easy to adapt to, but he's been able to do that."
The club say Embleton will now look for "pastures new".
