John McMahon: Morecambe assistant manager given betting charge
- Published
Morecambe assistant manager John McMahon has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association in relation to betting.
It is alleged that McMahon breached FA Rule E1(b) by betting on football matches a total of 251 times.
The FA added that the bets were said to have been placed between 30 November 2019 and 14 October 2023.
McMahon, who stayed as assistant to Ged Brennan after Derek Adams' exit in November, has until Thursday to reply.
