Wrexham: Boss Phil Parkinson praises 'strong, resilient' side after win at Sutton

Manager Phil Parkinson has praised Wrexham's "strong, resilient performance" in their 2-1 League Two win at Sutton United on Tuesday night that ended a four-match losing run.
Elliot Lee scored the winner after Charlie Lakin had cancelled out Will Boyle's opener for the visitors.
Wrexham had conceded late on to lose 1-0 at Bradford last Saturday.
"This was a test for me because I'm not used to losing games as a Wrexham manager," said Parkinson.
"But the pleasing thing for me is how the staff and everybody pulled together.
"Sunday, we must have had 20 phone calls between all the staff about what we felt we needed to do in the preparation and came in Monday, everyone had been thinking just as hard as I'd been to find solutions.
"We knew what the problems were on the weekend or the week before, but it's about finding solutions and we found those [at Sutton]."
Victory meant Wrexham rising to fourth in the table before hosting seventh-placed Notts County on Saturday, 17 February.
Parkinson added: "We showed we were not going to be knocked by the defeat at the weekend.
"Now when that happens sometimes it can knock a group, but it didn't."
Parkinson also explained the thinking behind having star striker Paul Mullin on the bench along with Ollie Palmer at Sutton with Jack Marriott and Luke Bolton among the changes.
"Jack and Luke grew into the game. Jack was excellent. It was a difficult first half in the conditions, but he worked hard for the team and he's got a real turn of pace," said Parkinson.
"And I think with Paul Mullin he's been outstanding for us and will continue to be.
"But we brought Jack in because every week Mulls (Mullin) plays 90 minutes all the time. We've got a lot of games coming up and we've got to protect Mulls a little bit.
"We come away from home and he gets kicked from pillar to post and I want to make sure that Mulls is fresh when he's needed... and I thought him and Ollie played really well when they came on."
