Doncaster Rovers have signed former Coventry City striker Maxime Biamou on a deal until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old Frenchman scored 14 goals in 95 league appearances for the Sky Blues between 2017 and 2021.

He subsequently had a brief spell with Dundee United but has not played competitively since November 2021.

"He's been with us for more than a week and he's looked really good in training," boss Grant McCann told the club website.

"He's physical. He can get a hold of the ball and I think he can be a good foil for us.

"We can help him get fitter. He's not 100% but we feel we can get him up to speed really quickly."

Biamou could make his debut for Doncaster, who are 20th in League Two but are unbeaten in their past five matches, against play-off-chasing Walsall on Saturday.
