Brendan Galloway has played 60 times for Plymouth Argyle since joining the club in the summer of 2021

Plymouth Argyle boss Ian Foster says he is planning to have talks with defender Brendan Galloway over his future.

Galloway, 27, is out of contract in the summer and has played in all 11 of the games Foster has taken charge of since moving to Home Park in early January.

The Zimbabwe international signed a new 18-month deal in January 2022 shortly after seriously injuring his knee.

The ex-Everton player has been linked with a possible summer free transfer to a number of Championship sides.

"Brendan and I have to sit down and have those conversations and see what we're both thinking," Foster said.

"We haven't done that yet, we plan to do that very soon.

"But we're mindful of how intense everything is at the moment, so there's no rush to do that. He can't go anywhere else at the moment."

Galloway is currently enjoying one of his best runs in the Argyle side having returned to action in November after a hamstring injury ended his season last April.

"Brendan's been, since I've been at the football club, available for every game which has perhaps been an issue for him previously," added Foster.

"We've managed him perfectly, his physical outputs are really, really, positive, he's defending excellently.

"We know what he's capable of and his mind's not anywhere else other than trying to get three points each time we play."
