Matthew Etherington: Former Colchester United boss rejoins club's coaching staff
- Published
Former Colchester United boss Matthew Etherington has returned to the club as a member of the coaching staff.
The 42-year-old was sacked as head coach in January following a run of eight defeats in nine games.
He had previously been in charge of the Under-21 team and he was back with them for Friday's 6-2 win over Bristol City, external in the Professional Development League.
Etherington was replaced as head coach by Danny Cowley, who has only lost one game in his eight in charge so far.
