Jacob Sorensen: Norwich City midfielder eager for strong end to season

Jacob Sorensen is eyeing more starts for Norwich as the push for a play-off spot intensifies, after scoring his first goal for more than a year.
The 26-year-old Danish midfielder missed the first half of the season because of a pelvic injury.
But he scored a header in Saturday's 5-0 rout of Rotherham as the Canaries moved up to sixth in the Championship.
"It's always nice to start games and I haven't played much this season, so I'm eager to play some football," he said.
Sorensen's goal put Norwich 2-0 ahead in only his seventh league game of the campaign, and it was his first goal since scoring in a 3-2 win at Millwall on 4 March 2023.
"We started well, killed the game in the first half and then saw it out in the second half," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"We could have done better [in the second half] looking back, probably should have been sharper. But overall, it was a great win - first half was excellent, we spoke about it before the game - 'don't give them a sniff'.
"It's always nice to score, especially when you're not used to it."
Norwich have nine games remaining, the next away to Stoke City on Saturday, and need to keep the positive results coming as Hull, Coventry, Preston and Cardiff are only five points or fewer behind.
Because of the competitive nature of the Championship, Sorensen believes they cannot afford to look too far ahead.
He said: "It's exciting but we just take one game at a time, collect as many points as possible. There's going to be twists and turns in the rest of the games and what matters is where we are at the end."
Sorensen's contract expires at the end of the season, although there is an option in it for a further 12 months.
He added: "No talks yet. I think we're going to see in the next few weeks. I might knock on the door at some point and ask what's going on.
"I don't know what the board is planning in the summer so I'm going to have a chat and see what's up."
