Wales manager Robert Page has dismissed concerns from Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut about including Aaron Ramsey in his squad to face Finland on Thursday.

Bulut was unhappy Wales did not contact Cardiff before recalling Ramsey.

The midfielder, 33, returned from a calf strain to play 18 minutes at Swansea last Saturday, and is now training with Wales to prepare for their Euro 2024 play-off semi-final.

"I don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest," said Page.

"We just want the player fit, both Cardiff and ourselves.

"We are in constant communication. I trust my medical team. I don't need to have a conversation with the [Cardiff] manager.

"I know their medical team. Their head of medical was my physio when I was manager at Port Vale. Their club doctor is our Under-21s' doctor. There has never been a better relationship."

Ramsey returned earlier than expected to feature for Cardiff as a substitute during last Saturday's 2-0 derby defeat at Swansea, having initially been ruled out of Wales' play-offs by Bulut.

Even with those 18 minutes, however, Ramsey has still only managed a total of 90 minutes for Cardiff since injuring his knee in September.

He returned to training with the Bluebirds last week and was recalled to the Wales squad, but Bulut said Page should have contacted him before doing so.

"If there is a breakdown in communication, it's between their manager and their medical team," said Page.

"There has been no problem. The diagnosis of his initial problem was nowhere near as bad as what they first said.

"So if I have got an opportunity to get Aaron into the squad I am going to take it. He is not match-fit, of course he is not, but he can have an impact. Even in training, he can have an impact.

"For me, it's worked. I trust my medical team, they have got him fit and he's in the squad."
