Rotherham snatched victory over Millwall to avoid their relegation from the Championship being confirmed.
Sebastian Revan and Charlie Wyke claimed crucial first goals for the Millers, with Ryan Longman replying for the Lions.
Striker Wyke, on loan from Wigan, nodded in the 86th-minute winner as bottom-of-the-table Rotherham won only their fourth game of the season.
But with six games left, they are 16 points behind 23rd-placed Sheffield Wednesday and need to beat fourth-bottom Plymouth - winless in five games - on Friday to avoid going down.
Millwall are in 19th place and just four points clear of Huddersfield in the final relegation place.
After an even opening, the visitors were forced into an early change when Scottish defender Murray Wallace was injured and replaced by Danny McNamara.
Zian Flemming had the first notable attempt in the 34th minute when his shot from the edge of the box was parried at full stretch by keeper Viktor Johansson.
Millwall increased the tempo after the break, forcing consecutive corners, but were still unable to find the breakthrough.
They had a big opportunity when Duncan Watmore received the ball from Flemming, but unable to hit the target when through on goal.
Millers keeper Johansson was called into action a number of times, denying Japhet Tanganga from a corner minutes after Watmore's chance.
Despite forcing most of the pressure, it was Aston Villa loanee Revan who scored the opener for the hosts with a low curling effort into the far corner of Matija Sarkic's net in the 71st minute.
It was his first goal in senior football - and Rotherham's first in six matches.
The Lions, though, equalised five minutes later through Longman. When a corner was half-cleared, Jake Cooper hooked the ball back into a dangerous area where Longman was on hand to smash the ball home.
But Leam Richardson's side hit back again as Revan went from scorer to provider, crossing into the box and finding Wyke to head home.
Rotherham manager Leam Richardson told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"It's a very pleasing result. We knew exactly what Millwall would bring and we matched that.
"I'm very pleased for the players and pleased the fans can go home with a smile on their face.
"We're a club in transition and we want to be a better version of ourselves going forward."
Millwall manager Neil Harris told BBC Radio London:
"The first half was very scrappy, the atmosphere here was terrible and the referee was horrific.
"We did enough to win two or three games of football there.
"Second half we've made a dozen opportunities to score and rather than Rotherham win the game, we lost that game."
