More woe for Hibs as Dons faith restored - Your views

Scottish Premiership supporters have been having their say on the weekend fixtures.
Here's a flavour of the comments.
'Worst performance of the season by far'
It was another bruising Saturday for Hibernian fans as their side went down 2-1 at home to St Mirren.
Malcolm: We are a team lacking belief, confidence and now desire. This is a rookie manager having no romance with his fate in this league. Played 12, won once and rooted at the bottom. Even the best manager would struggle to get us out of this now!
Ross: Worst performance of the season by far. Having the creative force of Dylan Levitt and Nicky Cadden in the second half improved things. Not deserved, but unlucky not to sneak a point. Hopefully, David Gray now realises three defensive midfielders won't work. He needs time, not pressure, to get us back on track.
Scott: That first half was the worst 45 minutes I have ever witnessed at Easter Road. An absolutely feeble attempt to win a game of football.
Allan: Worst performance of the season and by some margin. Too many players didn't turn up on a day that Gray needed them. That said, still some strange decision-making from Gray in terms of personnel. We're too defensive and it's costing us. Levitt is the only player who knows how to take a forward first touch, move the ball quickly and offensively.
George: Very poor first half. Changes made at half time were positive and we played better in the second half. If Martin Boyle had put away the penalty, who knows? But where do we go from here? Reset and go again next week? Keep the changes and see if they can perform? Good Luck David, you're going to need it.
Rob: Groundhog Day. How do you stop this rot? Back to basics, aggression, competitiveness and big hearts. None of that on show week in, week out. That is one of the things hurting us most as fans and particularly season ticket holders who shell out thousands each year to witness no fight or desire. Who has pride to play for the club? Owners need to go.
Buddies fans were enthused...
Huey: Saints haven't had it easy recently with injuries to key players, decisions going against us on the field and the unforeseen departure of two new signings. However, over the last few weeks, we've started to resemble the team who did so well last season. Special mention to the indefatigable Stephen Robinson for steering us through a difficult period.
Ian: Well done the Saints and Conor McMenamin. A solid performance despite late tiredness in added time. Still not convinced with the handball rule. Glad to see Martin Boyle thwarted. Well done lads - a big three points that takes a bit of pressure off. Killian Phillips was man of the match for me.
Jim: Let's not get carried away, this was a result against a team who are bottom and leak goals. The St Mirren display still shows a tendency to hit long balls for the forward to chase. The substitutes contributed very little and we managed to get the result we probably deserved. We will meet a lot of better sides than this.
Alistair: A squeaky bum moment at the end can't take the gloss off what was a great performance against a poor side. Special mention to Killian Phillips and Ellery Balcombe. Both were terrific and can go into the break brimming with confidence for a busy schedule ahead.
Aberdeen 'substitutions changed the game'
Aberdeen got back to winning ways against Dundee and their Premiership record for the season reads P11 W10 D1.
Steven: This was a big result and our manager has a knack of knowing when to make substitutions that make a difference in the second half of games. We also can't underestimate Dimitar Mitov’s contribution on the penalty save. After the international break, we have tough matches, but the Dons juggernaut keeps on going.
Lindsey: What a result! Finally a comfortable win. Once again, the subs made an impact. Nisbet in particular was superb. Slobodan Rubezic was uncomfortable without Sivert Nilsen in front and made a few clumsy errors. Would like to see if Angus McDonald could offer more composure. Nonetheless, with top players missing, our team is never compromised.
Marty: Another convincing win in the end. We possibly rode our luck a bit in the early stages of the game, but we were much more clinical and composed in the second half. Again, the substitutions changed the game. I can't help thinking how we would be with Bojan Miovski still in the team, although that said, it's not like we are struggling to find the back of the net.
John M: Great to get back to winning games and by a good margin. Jimmy and the staff deserve a lot of praise for their work with the squad this week. However, we are giving easy chances to the opposition and again lost a cheap goal - our defenders are poor markers sometimes. Simon Murray should have never had a clear header for the Dundee goal.
William: A decent game of football, both sides trying to play a good game. Dundee were the better side first half, but the Dons stuck to their game plan and got the rewards. Great goals and still looking for more right to the last kick rather than the traditional Scottish way of holding on to what you have.
Fred: Mitov set us up with a great penalty save and again masterful substitutions produced the win. Overall, an impressive performance by players and management. We definitely look like the best of the rest. A great match.
Keith: I thought it was a good answer to the question of how we handle a bump in the road. The bus is still motoring and the wheels are still on. Happy days. It wasn't a complete 90-minute performance, but with Jimmy, we seem to only need 45 minutes most games. Who knows where this season is going, but I'm all in.
Mike: Great to bounce back after last week's heavy defeat with a convincing win. Could have been a different outcome if Dundee had converted their first-half penalty though and we would then have had to come from behind. Although we've done that already this season against Hearts.
Daniel: Another Thelin win in the face of those who were at pains to drive home the "embarrassing" nature of the loss to Celtic. This train isn't derailing that easily. Remember, this is only month five of a three-year project.
Niall: A scintillating second-half display from the Dons settled this tussle against a quality Dundee side. It's clear that there is such cohesion in this squad with another big impact from the subs - 42 secs for the Vinnie goal must be some kind of record. Comfortable and calm on the ball, intensity in transition and high press are key to success.
Dundee missed a first-half penalty and got back to 2-1 but ultimately lost two more goals.
Dudley: Yet another defensive shambles. Last season, we were the second worst in the division - it's the same this year. We were promised quality this season, over quantity. That has not happened. The team can't play for 90 minutes, they're not fit. Clueless all over the pitch, we can't do the simple basics correctly.
Gary: Classic example of the importance of end product. We were competitive and Simon Murray will be more disappointed with his penalty than anyone, but they couldn't take the opportunities to score. Team selection was decent, although Lyall Cameron is only showing in flashes of his pre-Luke McCowan levels, so there was scope for Scott Tiffoney to start as he looked dangerous.
Mark: Worrying times for Dee fans. Those bottom three places look like a straight fight between us, St Johnstone and Ross County. All Scottish football fans know Hearts and Hibs won't be at the bottom at the end of the season.
Ronnie: Dundee held their own and then some in the first half. Ifs and buts about the penalty and whether scoring it would have changed the result - unlikely. This team switches off like a light. Not capable of thinking when under pressure and showing unbelievable naivety. Pretty performance and 2-0 down again and again and again. Sort it out Doc!
Celtic finished the weekend once again top of the league on goal difference after a 2-0 win away to Kilmarnock.
Brendan (Celtic fan): I thought Celtic coped very well with the pitch at Kilmarnock. As an advert for Scottish football, it wasn't an easy watch. Are pitches like this harming the customer experience for the game in Scotland?
Brian (Celtic fan): Kilmarnock really deserved something from this game. It was a smash 'n' grab effort by Celtic. Hardest league game of season so far.
James (Kilmarnock fan): Kilmarnock were superb against Celtic and very unfortunate not to take at least something from the game. However, when is something going to be done about the disgraceful behaviour of their fans and the blind eye constantly turned to it by the club themselves. Did none of their fathers or grandfathers fight in the wars?
Motherwell 'could have had more'
It was a game of two halves at Fir Park with Motherwell two up at the break before St Johnstone came roaring back in the second, eventually losing 2-1, with home fans satisfied.
Ronnie: That's the type of football we want to see. High press, fast down the wings and ball on the grass and look what happens. Too deep in the second half and missed Paul McGinn and Stephen O'Donnell's experience to push our team forward.
Stuart: Two really good goals and we could have had more. However, we need to sort out possession as, without it, it made the last 15 minutes difficult. Still a good win against a key rival.
Eddie: A win today, but only 34% possession at home. That'll cost us in some games.
Saints are now two wins in six under Simo Valakari.
Paul: Once again, our defensive frailties cost us. This is a hangover from Craig Levein and Simo Valakari has already taken steps to address this by bringing in Bozo Mikulic, but it will take time to get right. Middle to front, we look good with good movement and passing. Just need to solidify at the back and we will roll over a team soon.
Jimmy: Seems like we are still very nervous in defence. For Simo, the honeymoon period is nearly over. Personally, I know he can turn it around - we just need to keep faith in him and the team.
Hamish: Enjoying the new possession-based football that Valakari is trying to instil into the players, who appear to be buying into this way of playing. Once he has found the correct balance between defence and attack, I think Saints will be a different team. It's not often you find a team outwith the Glasgow two that dominates possession as much as Saints.
United 'excellent with two up front'
Dundee United continue to enjoy a strong return to the top flight after a 3-0 home win over Ross County.
Scott: To a man, United were excellent. What a difference it makes playing two up front. Best performance of the season by a mile. The team had intent and positivity. Jim Goodwin got the tactics and formation spot on. Just desperate for big Jort van der Sande to get off the mark!
Stephen: A slow first 45 against a stuffy and physical County side was vastly improved on in the second. More pressure and urgency were backed up by good one and two touch passing with intent to get forward as often as possible. Goodwin was able to adapt and use his tactics and subs well. Cherry on top was the clean sheet.
Gordon: United controlled the game despite the refereeing, matched County's physicality then came good in the second half. A good win in the end.
Ross: Second-half performance was the best of the season so far. After a slow but steady first half, the pace increased. Passes were crisper, players were looking forward not back. Every move was positive, every cross was menacing. Quality goals with standout performances from Sam Dalby, Luca Stephenson and Will Ferry - and who doesn't love a goal from local talent.
Eddie: Best, most complete performance this season so far! Some great goals and some really excellent performances. Absolutely buzzing for young Owen Stirton. Take a bow young man!
David: That was the performance we've been waiting on for a few weeks. Second half especially was the best of the season so far. Top six now looks achievable given this start, but can we finish fourth? And what an acquisition Will Ferry has been (to mention just one).
County are now winless in three.
Alistair: Two wins after 13 matches? Sounds like relegation candidates to me. Hot and cold. Unfortunately, they are never hot against the teams around them. But I can't help loving them. Come on the Staggies!
Calum: Setting up defensively to try to nick a point away from home is fine, but the lack of a plan B when we concede hurts us. A winger in January to mix it up is a must.
John: The team selection is really puzzling. Noah Chilvers on the bench until the 77th minute when he has been the most attacking midfielder of late. Jordan White is just a nuisance player. Plenty of misdirected energy. No goals. The team collapses back into defence too easily and get trapped there.
Rangers 'not ruthless enough'
Rangers fans endured a nervous 1-0 win at home to Heart of Midlothian.
Matt: Nothing for the fans to get excited about, bizarre decisions and comments from the manager don't help matters. On the positive, it was a win and a clean sheet but still nowhere near ruthless enough in front of goal and the players (not all) look nervous playing at Ibrox.
Gerry: Back to the drawing board. Night and day performance from Thursday’s game with virtually the same players. What is going on behind the scenes? From the start of the second half, the nerves started to show when we couldn't find a second goal. The only consistent thing coming out of Ibrox is the lame excuses after poor performances. We must do better.
Pete: We had the same high energy and passion for the first 20 minutes against Hearts as we had against Olympiakos for the full game. Why can't we sustain this type of play - the remainder of the Hearts game was like watching paint dry? Only Barron, Balogan, Raskin and Jefte had pass marks. It says it all about our lack of a decent striker.
Alan: Yet another lacklustre performance from a team severely short of confidence and passion. It's clear that Clement wants to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation and equally clear that it doesn't work with these players, especially against teams that park the bus. Change needed quickly if we are to salvage anything from an awful season.
Lennie: Yet another shocking performance against a very mediocre team that made us look like a bottom-three team instead of top-three team. Where was the team that played on Thursday? Sorry, but you have to blame the manager. Team selections wrong, substitutions wrong, tactics wrong. Time to go I'm afraid.
Hearts supporters watched their side go close to taking a point at Ibrox.
Richard: Another high-energy performance, but we're really struggling for someone who can put the ball in the net. Shankland and Vargas are out of goals, Wilson is too soon out of the youth sides, Boyce is out of something - touch? Fitness? Favour? And Musa is out of the unknown. I assume the club did have players in mind, expecting Shankland money to get one.
Bryan: It would be so easy to say "another Hearts away loss in Glasgow", but the way we played and our attitude towards an away game at Ibrox was vastly different under Critchley to what we have seen before. Vargas is still young, but big moments make big chances that big players take. Shankland played well, but we need his killer instinct back pronto.
David: Yet another opportunity missed through inept finishing, much like the European game in midweek. Please can we have the Shankland of last season back? If we don't bring strikers in on January then I fear for the rest of the season.
Steven: Good performance by Hearts. Only poor finishing and refereeing decisions let us down. It's been a long time since we dominated at Ibrox, so onwards and upwards for the rest of the season.
Chris: Copy and paste. You don't get points in football for playing well. We pretty much controlled our last three/four games and have little to show for it. Vargas and Shankland look like they take naps when shooting practice happens in training. The new manager needs to realise he's in a relegation fight, passing our way all the way to the Championship.
