Queens Park Rangers forward Paul Smyth will miss what remains of the Championship season after being handed a three-match ban for violent conduct.
The 27-year-old had been charged by the Football Association over an incident that took place in the 56th minute of Friday's win against Preston North End.
The FA said that the incident had not been seen by match officials at Deepdale but was caught on camera.
While what happened has not been made clear, Smyth did concede a free-kick at the same time for a foul on Mads Frokjaer-Jensen.
Northern Ireland international Smyth pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the automatic three-match penalty.
Preston had been winning 1-0 at the time of the incident, with QPR fighting back to win with two late goals.
The London club, who are 14th in the table and assured of Championship safety, host Swansea City on Monday before going on to face Burnley and Sunderland in their final two matches.
