Why is Ed Sheeran on Barcelona's kit?

Ed Sheeran is the latest musician to feature as a limited-edition kit sponsor for La Liga side Barcelona.
His new album 'Play' will be printed across the front of Barcelona's home kit, temporarily replacing the club's usual Spotify logo.
This is part of the sponsorship deal between Barcelona and the music streaming service which began in 2022.
The shirt will be worn by players in the men's El Clasico game against Real Madrid on Sunday, 26 October.
The sponsor said they will use the partnership to "shine a spotlight on artists from all over the world".
The women's team wore the special edition shirt last weekend in their 2-0 win over Granada.
The club say the deal is a first of its kind to "bring the worlds of music and football together".
Sheeran is the first British male solo artist to sponsor the jersey. Travis Scott, Coldplay and Drake have all previously featured on the iconic shirt.
"I've loved football my whole life, so bringing my music to such an iconic stage and sharing it with fans everywhere means a lot to me," Sheeran said.
The singer is a supporter of Ipswich Town and was their front-of-shirt sponsor between 2021 and 2025.
Manel del Rio, corpororate director at Barcelona, said: "The logo change has become one of the most iconic moments of every season."
