Dundee 'reset' as Docherty looks to continue improving

Dundee manager Tony Docherty says this season will be a 'reset' for the team, despite the success of last term.
The 53-year-old signed a new deal as Dens Park boss earlier this week after guiding the side to sixth in the Premiership in their first season back in the top flight.
After landing a derby against Dundee United in the opening game of the season, Docherty said he's trying to focus on building on last season's success.
"It’s a new season, so it’s reset, it’s a different league this term," he said.
"Last year went well but that over now and we’ve started a new campaign in terms of our pre-season preparation.
"I want my team to be competitive in every fixture.
"It allows me to build on a platform of what last season was and improve and upgrade things for this season. I’m an ambitious individual and it whets my appetite to go again."

Docherty has strengthened his side with three new signings this summer - Jon McCracken, Clark Robertson and Seb Palmer-Houlden having already put pen to paper - but he insists recruitment this summer will be about adding quality rather than just extra bodies.
"It’s much more about quality than quantity for me," he said.
"It’s six weeks away until our first league game, so it’s important we take the time and do our due diligence.
"It’s important you bring in the right type of player that’s going to compliment what you’ve got in the building. The last two windows we had we did a decent job so we’d like to do that again."
