Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has been banned from the touchline for one game following his sending off for misconduct during his side's 1-1 draw at Swansea City in August.

Referee Oliver Langford showed Bulut a red card in added time as the Bluebirds boss appeared to refuse to give the ball back to Swansea's players, prompting a melee.

Cardiff appealed against the dismissal and Bulut was allowed on the touchline for Saturday's home Championship match against Middlesbrough.

An FA spokesperson said: "The manager admitted that his behaviour around the 96h minute was improper."

The spokesperson also said: "Written reasons will be published in due course."

Bulut will miss Cardiff's next league game at Derby County on Saturday, 14 September.
