Durham beat Sunderland to become the only side outside of the Women's Super League to reach the quarter-finals of this year's Women's League Cup.
The Women's Championship side won 2-1 on Wednesday to top Group B.
Durham will be joined in the last eight by the four other group winners - Brighton, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham.
Current holders Arsenal, plus Chelsea and Manchester City, secured automatic qualification to the quarter-finals due to their participation in the Champions League group stage.
Aston Villa, who announced manager Robert De Pauw had left the club with immediate effect earlier on Wednesday, won 4-1 against Charlton Athletic.
However, the club failed to qualify as they finished three points behind Tottenham, who beat Crystal Palace 2-0.
Liverpool triumphed 4-0 against their Merseyside rivals Everton, but Manchester United topped the group with a 5-3 win against Championship side Newcastle.
Everton later confirmed that defender Issy Hobson had been discharged from hospital after she sustained a concussion from being hit in the head from close-range by the ball.
"The 17-year old will return to the club for ongoing assessment and treatment, whilst following FA concussion guidelines regarding her return to play," Everton said.
West Ham claimed a 3-0 victory over Sunderland, while Brighton won 6-2 against Bristol City.
The draw for the quarter-finals will be made on Monday 16 December at 12.30 GMT and will be streamed live on the WSL YouTube channel. Ties will be played between 22-23 January.
