Rotherham appoint Posh coach Tonge as assistant

Dale Tonge has also coached at Barnsley and Hearts

Rotherham United have appointed Peterborough United first team coach Dale Tonge as their assistant manager.

The 40-year-old spent six years with the Millers as a player and returns to South Yorkshire after three years with Posh.

Kevin Russell has re-joined Peterborough's coaching staff after Tonge's exit.

"I've worked under a lot of successful managers and understand what is needed to win promotions and be successful, and I want to bring that experience here to help the gaffer and the lads," Tonge told the Rotherham club website.
