Port Vale sign striker Cole and midfielder Hall

Port Vale have signed striker Devante Cole from West Bromwich Albion and midfielder George Hall from Birmingham City on three-year deals.
Cole, 30, who is the son of former Newcastle, Manchester United and England striker Andy Cole, joins as a free agent having been released by the Baggies earlier on transfer deadline day.
Port Vale are the 10th club Cole has joined since first coming through at Manchester City as a youngster.
He spent a season with West Brom, with 15 of his 16 appearances for the club coming off the bench.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Hall made 41 appearances for Blues after coming through their academy and was named the club's Young Player of the Season in 2023.
Hall spent last season on loan at Walsall where he scored three goals in 22 appearances.
