Rangers midfielder Connor Barron has been named in the Scotland under-21 squad to face Spain and Malta in Euro 2025 qualifying.
The 21-year-old was touted as a potential member of the senior squad for the upcoming Nations League matches, but continues with Scot Gemmill's young team for now.
Scotland face Spain at Tynecastle on 6 September before a trip to Malta four days later as they aim to continue their strong campaign.
The Scots sit second in Group B three points behind Spain with four games left to play.
The nine group winners along with the three best-placed group runners-up will qualify automatically for next year's finals in Slovakia, with the remaining six group runners-up entering into play-offs for the final three places.
Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie, Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron, Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson, and Motherwell's Lennon Miller are also included in a familiar squad.
