AFC Wimbledon defender Isaac Ogundere has extended his contract at the League One club until 2027.

The 22-year-old, who has been with the club since he was 16, also has the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

Ogundere has made 123 appearances for the Dons since making his debut at the age of 19 after coming through the club's youth set-up.

He was a key part of the side that helped Wimbledon win promotion back to League One last season, playing 50 games in all competitions.

"Over the past six years there have been many ups and downs but I have loved playing every single minute for Wimbledon," Ogundere told the club's website., external

"Last year was my best year with the club. One of the main landmarks for me was making 100 appearances, and of course getting promoted was the main highlight and was one of the best days of my life.

Manager Johnnie Jackson added: "He has shown a real hunger and determination to establish himself as a regular first-team player and his game continues to improve year on year.

"We are really excited to see his development continue over the next few years and we know he has a big future ahead in the game."
