Brady proud of Cobblers progress before 200th game

Northampton Town boss Jon Brady has expressed pride in the team's season-by- season progress ahead of his 200th game in charge.
The 49-year-old was unable to save the Cobblers from relegation to League Two after replacing Keith Curle during the 2020-21 campaign.
But since then he has led the club back to the third tier and reaches his milestone in Tuesday's away fixture against Stevenage.
"At the moment we are in the toughest League One (there has ever been) with a lot of injuries but we keep trying to be positive daily, keep working hard," Brady told BBC Radio Northampton.
"The one thing we want to show our fans and the town is resilience, always fighting, never giving in, never giving up, and giving it absolutely everything we've got.
"Our resolve to do that is stronger than ever but the challenge is getting harder and harder."
Northampton finished fourth in League Two in Brady's first full season in charge and missed out in the play-offs, but won automatic promotion in 2023.
Last season, they consolidated their League One status, earning 60 points for 14th place in the table.
"What I'm proud about over the time I have been manager is that year on year we've progressed," said Brady, whose only previous managerial experience was with non-league Brackley Town.
"There have been a lot of constraints against us in all those times and a lot of constraints now, with injuries.
"We've faced adversity through all that especially in the first season when we missed out (on automatic promotion) by goal difference."
Northampton are 18th in the table following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Wigan.
Brady admitted the team were below their normal level of performance in the first half before Tom Eaves' goal reduced the deficit.
"There could be various reasons for that, and we've talked about it, but the second half was a lot more where we want to be, and ultimately we could have come away with a draw," he added.
