Yaser Asprilla has left Watford to sign for Spanish top-flight club Girona for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old Colombia international first signed for the Hornets in January 2022 from Envigado in his home country, before completing the season back on loan with his former club.

In his two seasons with Watford he scored seven times in 86 appearances - almost half of which came off the bench.

But he has not figured in Watford's winning start to the 2024-25 season.

Girona finished third in La Liga last season to qualify for the Champions League.

The length of Asprilla's contract is undisclosed.
