Top-flight German football is being shown live on the BBC this season after rights were secured to broadcast Friday night Bundesliga matches through to 2027.

The coverage will continue on Friday, 7 November where Werder Bremen look to go five games unbeaten in the Bundesliga as they host Wolfsburg.

All matches will be available to watch live on the BBC Sport website, app and on BBC iPlayer every Friday, with clips of the biggest in-game moments across BBC Sport's social media channels.

Werder Bremen have eight points from their last four Bundesliga matches.

Werder Bremen are in fine form, and a late goal against Mainz last time out extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the Bundesliga, picking up eight points along the way. The run means Bremen currently sit ninth in the table, and a win against Wolfsburg could see them sat in seventh on Friday night.

Bremen have also won their last two home matches without conceding, beating both St. Pauli and Union Berlin 1-0. They will be looking to go three wins at home without conceding in the Bundesliga, something they haven't achieved since 2017.

Wolfsburg, on the other hand, are not having the best of starts by their standards. Eight points from nine matches is their worst start to the Bundesliga in nine years. Another defeat would see them equal a negative club record set in 2012/13, when they had eight points and six defeats after their first ten Bundesliga matches.

They will take confidence in the fact that they have only managed to pick up victories on the road this season. Had the match been at home, they would be concerned about extending their 14-match winless run at home in all competitions.

Wolfsburg have won four of their last five away trips to Bremen in the Bundesliga. However, Bremen will be optimistic going into the match as Wolfsburg have failed to win in any of the last seven matches they've played on a Friday night.
