Wrexham midfielder Andy Cannon faces a lengthy absence after suffering a serious knee injury against Mansfield Town last Sunday.
The League One promotion challengers said the 28-year-old will have surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament next week and faces a "significant period of rehabilitation" after the operation.
Cannon left the field on a stretcher at Mansfield shortly before the break in Wrexham's 2-1 win to applause from both sets of fans.
"We're all behind you," Wrexham stated in a social media post as they announced the severity of Cannon's injury.
