Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham has extended his contract until the end of the 2027-28 season.

The 18-year-old, the younger brother of England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude, joined the Black Cats from Birmingham last summer.

He scored seven goals in 45 Championship appearances in 2023-24.

“I’m buzzing to sign this contract and extend my stay at Sunderland," he told the club website., external

"I feel like I have a lot of unfinished business and I believe we can achieve some great things this season.

"This is such an amazing city and I’m so proud to represent the people within it."

The England Under-20 international was linked with Brentford, Crystal Palace and Tottenham earlier this summer.

Jobe made his senior debut at the age of 16 years and 107 days in an FA Cup defeat by Plymouth in January 2022, 69 days older than when Jude made his bow for Birmingham in an EFL Cup loss at Portsmouth in August 2019.
