Mullin to miss Wrexham's US tour after surgery

Striker Paul Mullin will miss Wrexham's summer tour to North America.
Mullin is recovering from a minor spinal surgery which the club says was to correct a “long-term lower-back/hamstring issue.”
No timeframe has been set for his return, but it was carried out last month with the aim that the 29-year-old will be fit for the majority of the new season in League One.
Wrexham’s tour begins in Santa Barbara where they play Bournemouth on 20 July.
They will remain in California to face a second Premier League side in Chelsea four days later in Santa Clara.
The team will then travel to Canada to owner Ryan Reynolds' home city of Vancouver to play the Major League Soccer (MLS) side Whitecaps.
Wrexham said Mullin has managed the injury following three years of concern.
“However, during off-season training it became evident that this approach would not be able to continue and, following several consultations, it was determined that surgery would be the best way forward,” the club said.
