A winding-up petition against Reading by a football agency has been withdrawn.
Skelland Brown, whose clients include Royals forward Harvey Knibbs, lodged the petition in late March, but according to the HM Courts & Tribunals Service the case has now been withdrawn.
The club were also served two winding-up petitions by HMRC in 2023 for unpaid taxes.
The League One side remain in talks with a potential buyer after they announced in early April that they were in "advanced dialogue" with an "alternative bidder".
Last month the EFL announced owner Dai Yongge had been officially disqualified under the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test.
They originally told the Chinese businessman he needed to sell the club by 5 April but then extended that deadline last week until 22 April.
