Teenage Charlton Athletic defender Zach Mitchell has signed a contract to stay at the club until 2027.
The Addicks also have an option to extend the 19-year-old's deal by a further year.
Mitchell has played 13 games - including six in League One - since his debut almost two years ago.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at Colchester United in League Two where he scored twice in 29 appearances.
“Zach has really impressed me since day one of pre-season," Charlton manager Nathan Jones told the club website.
"We had opportunities to let him go out on loan, but we felt his development was here and he's been excellent.
"What we've got to do now is make sure he keeps moving forward."
