Blackpool must tune out "exterior noise" in order to maintain focus and continue their ascent up the League One table, boss Ian Evatt has said.

Since Evatt's arrival at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool have won three out of four games, including successive matches in League One.

The Seasiders are fourth from bottom in the table but can move out of the drop zone when they face Burton Albion on Saturday.

"I've seen them improve in terms of confidence levels, there's no doubt about that. The key word is 'improve' really. That's our mantra at the moment," Evatt told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"We just want to keep our feet on the ground, try to ignore the exterior noise and excitement because we're still only three games into a huge process and journey, and we're right at the very start of that. The fact that we've won three games is exciting in some ways because for me it's ground zero."

Evatt steered Blackpool to their first away win of the season in his first game in charge as they beat fellow strugglers Peterborough United.

Since then he has overseen victory in the FA Cup against non-league Scunthorpe, victory versus promotion-chasing Cardiff at home in League One and defeat by Tranmere in the Vertu Trophy.

"I want us to go into every game without fear, home or away. I want us to have the same mindset, the same thought process, the same calmness, the same belief," he added.

"It doesn't matter to me - we're going to plan for each and every game.

"We don't go anywhere to draw - we try to win, and that will be the same on Saturday."
