Filming has begun on a behind the scenes documentary at Plymouth Argyle following the Championship side and their head coach Wayne Rooney.

Cameras will be behind the scenes at Home Park as the former England captain experiences his first season in charge.

The news comes the day after Rooney's wife Coleen entered ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity...' jungle in Australia.

Rooney took over at Argyle in May and has led the Pilgrims to four wins and four draws in their 15 Championship matches this season.

It is not yet known which platform or channel will screen the show, or when it will go to air.

Argyle, who are 18th in the 24-team Championship and a point above the relegation places, are the latest side to have a documentary about them.

Wrexham are probably the most well-known with their Welcome to Wrexham series featuring owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds becoming a hit for Disney+.

Netflix's Sunderland 'Til I Die lasted three series and followed the fortunes of the Black Cats after suffering relegation from the Premier League and Championship into League One before earning promotion back into the second tier.

Premier League Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal have also been the subject of behind-the-scenes documentaries in recent years.
