Rangers were unable to build on their Old Firm success as Rocky Bushiri's header earned Hibernian a point in a six-goal thriller, while Celtic bounced back with a convincing win against St Mirren to strengthen their grip on the title race.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen's miserable run continued with a 2-0 loss at Fir Park, and there were away wins for Hearts, Ross County and Dundee.

We asked you for your thoughts on Sunday's action - here are the best of your responses.

'Spirited' Hibs fight back against 'hesitant' Rangers

Hibs fans praised their team's mentality as they came from behind twice against Rangers.

Gordon: Well done Hibs, a great fightback. To come back twice was brilliant. As recently as a few weeks back, at 2-0 down we would have folded, not now. This team have discovered a renewed togetherness and fighting spirit. Rocky Bushiri scored a great equaliser but defensively he was largely panicky and all over the place, particularly for Rangers' first goal.

Peter: We were caught napping twice and early on, a spirited comeback saw us take a fair share of the points. David Gray changed the shape when it looked like they would overrun us, they didn't seem to have a plan B. We looked the likely team to score, but they scored after we gifted them the ball. Stop making mistakes at the back and we will make top six.

Johnny: Well fought Hibs, we showed good team spirit to get a deserved draw. The slow start once again showed our weakness at the back, sort this and we can push on.

Michael: Would have taken a point before the game. Gave ourselves a mountain to climb by going 2-0 down but credit to the lads for bouncing back and claiming a point. I believe we've only lost one out of the last eight games. Just shows how bad our start was that we're still not in the top six.

Conor: Terrible first 30 mins, great battling second half and the players showed belief in themselves. Nectarios Triantis was excellent, good when Nathan Moriah-Welsh came on. A couple of wins in the next two and we're getting closer to fourth.

Conversely, Rangers fans were angered by the team's lack of consistency.

Anon: Basic player errors are costing Philippe Clement his job. Alongside his inability to see the areas of concern that cost us almost every game now. I know we have injured defenders, but how he allows Robin Propper to take no responsibility at set pieces is shocking.

Brian: Hamza Igamane has provided yet again he is the man for our striker position. He is head and shoulders above Cyriel Dessers, scoring three and looking for four, when did that last happen? Kris Boyd I think. Two poor unnecessary tackles gave Hibs two goals. That's why it was a draw.

Stephen: Yet again a case of one step forward, two steps back! We should have pushed on at both 2-0 and 3-2 up!

Alex: Once again the defence let us down. We scored three great goals, but being so sloppy and hesitant at the back has been the story of our season. Really disappointing after such a great result in the Old Firm. We must strengthen the defence in January.

Alan: What is going on at Rangers? How can this team turn Celtic inside out in an outstanding display and then fail so dramatically against Hibs. There is something seriously wrong with the way in which the team are approaching each game.

Phil: The manager's excuses are wearing thin. Instead of focusing on his team's performance he was banging on about the Hibs penalty, which in my view was a penalty. Rangers need to learn to play for ninety minutes plus. Not twenty minutes.

Lennie: Another bad result away from home, should have been 4-0 after 20 minutes, instead we are again made to pay for the missed chances. Frustrating watching this Rangers team. Changes have to be made for us to get anywhere near the level Celtic are on.

Motherwell end winless run as Aberdeen woes continue

'Intelligent Maswanhise a Motherwell revelation'

Motherwell fans were pleased to take all three points but some felt the performance was sub-par.

Derek: It was a hard watch, and that's with three points in the bag. If we are fifth, it says so much about the standard of Scottish football. The quality is wafer thin.

Eddie: It's a win we badly needed, but you're not going to entice people back to Fir Park with our style of play.

Alan: An excellent result which should be celebrated. An attacking approach by Stuart Kettlewell gives us the result required. Let's not forget where Aberdeen sit in the league and give our players the congratulations they deserve.

James: Big improvements in chunks, but second half was really poor. Tawanda Maswanhise is a constant threat, we need to find a regular partner for him up front. Possession has to be better. A good victory though. Well deserved

Grant: A far better performance than at Tynecastle, players looked more relaxed on the ball, Aberdeen had the better of the first 30 mins but we came into it and scored both goals. We were more assured in the second half and always looked like we had the game under control

Ryan: Great win. Tough run now as not back at Fir Park until next month. Hopefully get some decent signings in.

Aberdeen fans were angered by Slobodan Rubezic's red card and defensive frailties.

Anon: Slobodan Rubezic has to go. He's a disgrace to the club, displaying a mindset of a schoolboy week in week out.

Mike: We've been rumbled. The way Jimmy Thelin has set the team up to counteract the obvious deficiencies in the squad, lack of energy in the middle of the park, and lack of ability at centre half, it feels like it's going to be a slog for the rest of the season now, and can't see anything other then bottom six.

Chris: Not a lot to say, Rubi was goaded into an act which got him sent off. I don't usually pick out individuals but there were no pass marks in defence in the first 45 minutes - including wing-backs. The reorganization worked but where was this level of commitment in the first 45? Duk, Topi Keskinen, Leighton Clarkson, Ante Palaversa were great, Graeme Shinnie did his best.

John: You could drive a bus through the defence. The fact is we have become easy beat to the rest of the teams and I don't see us winning a game any time soon. We knew that the great start couldn't continue but this is ridiculous. I still have faith in the manager but he will need to have a clear out of this team and get better players in.

Keith: Never mind the wheels, I'm not sure there is even a bus at the moment. Amazed that we seem to play our best football without a full on number nine or any recognised centre-backs on the park. I feel for Jimmy T. He is now starting to see the magnitude of the build. But I trust him. Give him time to mould a team.

Celtic go further clear at top with win against Buddies

'Kuhn in right place at right time for Celtic'

Celtic fans were pleased to return to winning ways after their defeat by Rangers, but would still like to see January reinforcements.

Liam: A comfortable but at times predictable performance by Celtic. We are not creating many chances in games and it's clear what we are going to do. I'm disappointed in Brendan Rodgers, as one groan for another back pass doesn't sum up 55,000 people turning up on a rotten day to back the team. Additionally, Greg Taylor was not getting criticised. Poor comments.

Paul: It was a brilliant riposte and response by Celtic, quickly getting back to winning ways again after losing at Ibrox. It was Nicolas Kuhn's double that ultimately made all the difference. Overall, it was a rock solid display by Celtic strolling to victory in the end, capitalising on their arch rivals' draw against Hibernian earlier in the day.

Dave: Rodgers is spot on. As a fan of over 50 years I've seen many highs and lows but young fans nowadays have only known success and have become so entitled. He is spot on, the team needs our support at 0-0, be patient and trust the team.

Clem: Ever since the Brugge game, where they showed how to set up to combat Celtic, we have struggled. So very slow at times and predictable. Still too many square and backward passes. A freshness in midfield is required to get the intensity back to how we started the season.

Hugh: Sunday blues washed away. We found our rhythm again, after a lacklustre display midweek. But we can't kid ourselves we still need a potent poacher of a goal scorer. Adam Idah and Kyogo Furuhashi have been benched so many times due to a lack of finishing - January should be spent finding a proven goalscorer.

Malcolm: First and foremost, a weird performance against Rangers, however a decent performance against St Mirren and three points but we need a squad rejuvenation: left-back, holding midfielder and striker.

St Mirren fans want to see more from their team in forward areas.

James: St Mirren have a real problem with creating chances, never mind taking them! They have persevered mostly with experienced strikers to no avail - surely it is time for a change. They either need to let youth have its say - or bring in more choice up front - good start with Owen Oseni!

Douglas: A response was expected after their defeat to Rangers. Held them at bay for 32 minutes then crash. Losing too many goals and not scoring is a big concern. Sign forwards to help Toyosi Olusanya.

Douglas: Initially, reasonably good for the first half hour, but once the dam was broken there was a sense of inevitability. Celtic can be relentless once into their stride and by half time you felt the game was over. Didn't expect much out of Parkhead, and so it proved. Hopefully one or two more additions can freshen up the squad and we can kick on.

Wins on the road for Hearts, County & Dundee

Watch James Penrice's winner for Hearts against Dundee United

Hearts fans can see a shift in mentality from Neil Critchley's side after they beat Dundee United thanks to a James Penrice goal.

David: Though our goals scored to shots on goal ratio is still poor, at least we're starting to grind our results. Signings so far are, at least on paper, very decent. Interesting that Lawrence Shankland is out at this time and the cynics could say he will be away this month. A concern is a massively overblown squad which will need surgery now and in the summer.

Kevin: Hearts put in a hard shift and battled for a deserved win. I'll say it - we have been a better all-round team since Shankland got injured. All are playing well with special mention to James Penrice and James Wilson. Also Liam Boyce's contribution can be understated. Would have been three out of three if not for two minutes of madness in Dingwall.

Chris: Better. We still lack composure in front of goal but due to defending better, we are not being punished for it. I wouldn't say we have turned a corner yet, as our luck was due to even out at some point, but it's much better. Boyce must have thought his time was up with us but he's been a beacon that's got us ticking. We keep going!

Steve: Three valuable points, Craig Halkett and Penrice were outstanding, We competed but still created little. Boyce is definitely not the answer. Adam Forrester's distribution and crossing were poor. This league is so inconsistent, if we can regularly start scoring goals we can quickly get into the top six. We could still get into Europe, need to get Zander Clark re-signed.

Kevo: Bottle, guts, strength - qualities that were missing have reappeared and results will follow.

Ross County fans were understandably pleased after they beat Kilmarnock for a third successive away win.

Paul: The confidence oozing through the team is evident to see. Finally seeing the grit required to get results. After waiting 15 months, three away wins in a row is a massive boost. If we can replicate it at home, where results have dropped off recently, we could have a serious push for top six.

Billy: We deserved that all the way, it maybe could have even been 2-0.

Robert: A team that does not know when it is beaten. A spirit within the camp that has seen them win three away in a row after a 16 month spell with no win. Don Cowie and his staff have found a way to play that, with Noah Chilvers pulling the strings, are doing great things. A tough ask for top six but with the passion and the pride in the team, we live the dream.

Dundee swept aside bottom club St Johnstone with a fine first-half performance.

Jimmy: What a performance, well done guys. Let's carry that forward and take some points from the next couple of games.

Ronnie: Great to see forwards get in on the goals and Simon Murray on a decent run. The league is so tight, lots of teams winning one week, losing the next and mid-table is hard to predict so it's vital that Dundee pick up points especially with players missing. If we can sort injuries and add one or two signings then play-off chat should hopefully be dismissed and our top six focus back.

Rod: Good victory but we have a tough run of fixtures now. Still would like a clean sheet or two in upcoming games. Hopefully we get some support for the defence in the transfer window. Beating Dundee United in the Scottish Cup would be sweet.

Mark: I was quick to criticize Tony Docherty after midweek, so credit where credit's due. A good way to bounce back but a clean sheet would have been better against an awful St Johnstone.

Gary: A great example of how frustrating it is to be a Dee. Didn't take the chances created in the derby and poor managerial indecision cost us the game. On Sunday it was much better, scored when they created chances and defensive changes made in the second half helped to secure those much needed points.

David: Fantastic result with a squad that possesses the depth of a puddle. Yes, it's three points against rock bottom of the league, however it's the biggest three points of the season - it keeps us afloat heading into a difficult January.

Defeats for United, Killie & St Johnstone

'Brilliant County goal but Kilmarnock should avoid it'

Dundee United fans felt they deserved to lose against Hearts.

Ross: It just wasn't there on Sunday - the harder the team tried, the less things came off. A stubborn Hearts in a ding-dong encounter showed the difference in class between third and 11th in the league is but the width of a credit card. Jim Goodwin tried to freshen up the team but it just didn't work hence the early subs. A dip into the transfer market beckons.

Jim: United's good run has come to an end, Hearts had the better chances and we looked jaded after derby. Our manager could maybe try a bit of squad rotation some of the players must have splinters in their backsides after the amount of time they spend on the bench.

Kieran: A very poor display, one of the poorest of the season. Never looked like scoring. Credit to Hearts they played the better football in what was a dire game overall. However, we are still third in what has been an exceptional season so far and we will be behind the lads once again at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

Jamie: The fact we lost with a whimper to the worst Hearts team I've seen play at Tannadice in over 25 years says it all really. We were utterly pitiful. Do not want to see a performance like this again. Craig Gordon will never have an easier game. I'm also disgusted with Goodwin's treatment of young Miller Thomson, who he subbed off in the first half.

There was a sense of doom and gloom after Kilmarnock were beaten by Ross County.

Anna: Awful performance, bereft of any ideas and attacking threats were zero. Danny Armstrong was garbage, Rory McKenzie would have put in a better shift. As for strikers, why wasn't Bobby Wales starting the game instead of coming on from the bench?

Robert: Absolutely the poorest performance for a couple of seasons, losing Innes Cameron didn't help, Marley Watkins was thrown in far too soon and his lack of match sharpness was apparent (not his fault). The defence looked hesitant, wingers were ineffectual, the only spark was Kyle Magennis.

Kenny: A lacklustre performance, Kilmarnock really missed having a powerful forward up front to hold the ball up. There wasn't much in the game to excite either set of fans. I thought we had done enough to get a draw so disappointing to walk away with no points!

Jim: I have been beating the same drum for some time now. We are not good enough with a lot of the players past their best. We are in a relegation battle now and we have no money to get us out of the mess we are in. Our young players are the shining light, play them.

Stephen: Infuriating performance, 95 minutes of hoofing the ball in the direction of Bruce Anderson, despite it being obvious early on it wasn't working. County coped easily and broke with a pace and purpose we lacked. We had no plan B and Derek McInnes was outsmarted by a still rookie manager who got his tactics spot on. County got what they deserved. So did we.

St Johnstone fans are readying themselves for Championship football after yet another loss.

Stuart: Another game, another poor performance in goals and defence. We're all but down now because we chose not to sack Craig Levein at the best possible time and have gone into a season with a gaggle of bodies, not a side prepared for top flight football.

James: Relegation beckons unless we have some miracle in the transfer window. Calamitous at the back and wasteful in attack. Benjamin Kimpioka has lost interest and takes too long on the ball. We are in dire need of full-backs who can defend and a goalkeeper who can command his box. Far too many passengers in this side - Sven Sprangler is the only one who looks interested. Dismal

Anon: Just when you think it can't get any worse. I'm finding it hard spending money to watch this. 70% possession, 23-odd attempts at goal and three down by the half hour. We need a big change to happen soon once again. Hopefully good signings to come.

Ally: I think Simo Valakari is out of his depth. He doesn't seam to be able to adapt his tactics to combat our opponents. Having said that, the squad he inherited is a shambles. We have known that we were short of a decent goalkeeper since the start of the season and still nothing.

Ewan: A first half that starkly exposed the severity of the uphill battle ahead to retain our status as a Premiership side. Possession isn't an issue, getting into attacking areas isn't an issue - but the cutting edge to be both clinical and effective isn't there. Our goalkeeping and defensive frailties are clearly a target tactic for our opposition.
