QPR midfielder Sam Field could miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury that is set to rule him out for six to nine weeks.
Field went off in the 68th minute of the 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth after a tackle and now faces a challenge to return before the club's final game of the campaign on 3 May.
A club statement said the 26-year-old will now start a "rehabilitation process with a projected return to full fitness in six-nine weeks".
Field has been a consistent presence in QPR's midfield, featuring in 33 out of 35 league games this season, starting all of them.
