West Bromwich Albion have signed Aston Villa winger Samuel Iling-Junior and Southampton defender Charlie Taylor on loan for the rest of the season.

Iling-Junior, who helped England win the European U21 Championship this summer, joined Villa from Italian club Juventus a year ago.

He made 16 Championship appearances for Middlesbrough during a loan spell in the 2024-25 season, scoring once, after spending the first half of last season with Bologna.

"Samuel is a versatile player whose pace and quality will be a great addition," Baggies' sporting director Andrew Nestor told the club website, external.

"Samuel comes with high level experience for a player his age, having already played last season in Serie A, the Champions League and the Championship and we are pleased that he sees the Albion as the right place to continue his development."

Experienced left-back Taylor has made 169 Premier League appearances, most of them during a seven-year stay at Burnley, where he also played a leading role in winning the 2022-23 Championship title.

The 31-year-old made eight top-flight appearances for Southampton after leaving Turf Moor in July 2024, and becomes the Baggies ninth signing of the window.

"Charlie has proven himself in the top two divisions of English football over a number of years and that kind of pedigree and experience will be of great value on and off the pitch," Nestor said.

"He gives Ryan and the staff further competition and depth at left-back which we will need as we move forward through a long Championship season."

The Baggies are second in the Championship with three wins from four games.
