Jersey Bulls put in a statement performance as they thrashed fellow Combined Counties League Premier South high-fliers Knaphill 6-0 at Springfield.

The islanders were 5-0 up after 38 minutes as they extended their unbeaten start under new boss Elliott Poole to 14 games and went third in the table.

Luke Watson gave Bulls a 10th-minute lead from the penalty spot after Toby Ritzema had been fouled in the area.

Ritzema then doubled the lead 11 minutes later as the Bulls scored four times in quick succession.

James Carr blasted in Miguel Carvalho's excellent 29th-minute pass to make it 3-0 before Joe Kilshaw tapped in the fourth three minutes later after Jonny Le Quesne had broken through before unselfishly passing.

Harry Curtis got the fifth six minutes before the break as he headed in a Rai Dos Santos corner.

Dos Santos blasted in a sixth goal 15 minutes from the end of the second half as the Bulls recorded their biggest win since Poole took over from Gary Freeman as manager in the summer.

It was also the club's eighth successive clean sheet - they have conceded just six goals in their 14 games this season.

"That first half an hour is as good as I've seen our lads, I thought they were excellent," Powell told BBC Radio Jersey.

"It's a great day for us and a really positive performance and we've got two more big games this week to come now."

Bulls travel to league leaders Redhill - who are seven points clear of the islanders with two games in hand - on Tuesday night before going to Bedfont Sports in the FA Vase next Saturday.
